I was thinking about getting Spore (I have the 10 dollar monster creator) but then I read RubberNinja's issue with the game on his website and I decided not to get it...

I wanted to buy Spore, but I was told the gameplay is too repetative, and gets boring really fast. What do you think?
When you first get to space stage, the game is packed with new features, surprises, weapons and lots of stuff. I know I'll be tired of it after some time - as every other game I own - but I'll always get back to it, because the game has an endless aspect of opportunities. But if you're not the guy who likes to make stuff, don't buy it :P
