JAZZ JACKRABBIT 2 FUN

Posted by MarcyVF Jun. 17, 2009 @ 4:45 AM EDT

I just got myself Jazz Jackrabbit 2 for Mac OS X! The bestest 2d platform game ever to exist on a computer! It's totally awesome, and I love it as much as I did when I played it as a kid. The sounds, the funky music and the amusing animation gives this game a great feeling of greatness.

Other than that, I'm working on two flash project at the moment. The first is a music video for Lars Fremmerlid, the other one is the PO3 thing with Lochie and Tommy.

School's finishing this week too.

One of the best PC platformers, I only being Spaz cause he's the only one that can do double jump and karate kick. I think it was made in the hippie times, because of it's numerous hidden drug references :P

Jun. 17, 2009 | 5:44 AM MarcyVF responds:

yeah, I understand that just now, I didn't understand that as a kid. But I always was Spaz because of double jumps and stuff. And I always went into Jazz's level areas and snatched some extra points.

I now hear that the music is very 90's-ish.

Jun. 17, 2009 | 5:44 AM MarcyVF responds:

Yeah, it's awesome. Even though I see the pixels pretty clear on my 24" screen :P

I remember having the first one on my computer, I was in love with that. I've only played a demo of the second. Man that game really was fucking awesome

Jun. 17, 2009 | 6:03 AM MarcyVF responds:

Yeah! I saw the 2nd first in a demo, and my dad told me it was a 'grown-up's game', but we bought it anyway.

Jun. 17, 2009 | 6:37 AM MarcyVF responds:

Jun. 19, 2009 | 2:40 AM MarcyVF responds:

Lol, yeah. I'm gonna start playing it again :D

Jun. 17, 2009 | 3:00 PM ArchMetaKnight says:

Try multiplayer. I also remembered there was a patch wich enabled lori (anothere rabbit with helicopter and kinda shorter karate kick)

Jun. 19, 2009 | 2:40 AM MarcyVF responds:

Cool... I've heard of that. "The secret files" or something.

Jun. 19, 2009 | 4:51 PM Insanimation says:

Yeah, I know you're who you're doing it with, but who is doing what part? Y'know, one does art, one does coding, one does music. I'm gonna take a wild guess that it'll be sorta like:

Art -Tommy
Coding - Lochie
Music - Markus.

Amirite?

Jun. 23, 2009 | 3:01 PM MarcyVF responds:

Me and Tommy do art and music while Lochie takes the coding :) I've made mostly music till now though. And I'll also be focused on background and stuff so I guess Tommy's main art artist guy.
