Yeah there's a lot of horrible tutorials and microphones and voices out there. The best one I've seen till now is Nick Campbell, greyscalegorilla.com. Great guy, great mic and great tutorials :)
House is great, color scheme and look reminds me of the architecture in Team Fortress 2.
